As I mention in the First Half, there are many things I like about vintage bicycles.  They are built to last a lifetime, simple and comfortable.  In addition to these is the fact that they contain many items not found on current bicycles such as fender ornaments, revolving brass bells, celluloid grips, handlebar badges, rod brakes, enameled head badges, chromed fork crowns, beaded edge tires, chrome tipped forks, chrome beaded edge rims, ornate fender stays, mud flaps, sprung leather saddles and enameled rear fender badges. 

In this, the Second Half, we will continue to see many items not found on current bicycles, including enameled seat tube badges, bolt heads with company logo, enclosed chaincase with badges, ornate chainwheels, cotterpin crank covers, rubber block pedals, three coat black enamel paint, ornate gold decals, hand painted two tone pin stripes, top tube frame cover, guarantee medals, head lamps, lamp bracket with company logo, chromed generators,  rear carrier with badge and logo reflectors.  In other words, when I compare a present day bicycle with a vintage one, I can't help but think "they don't make them like they used to".
